Hunt for PML-N workers continues

LAHORE, Sept 6: Police continued raiding houses of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders, office-bearer and activists in the city on Thursday and arrested several of them.

The police are violating privacy by using stairs and entering the houses to arrest PML-N workers, a release issued here on Thursday claimed.

According to a PML-N Punjab medial cell member, police raided the dera of MPA Malik Afzal Khokhar in Johar Town and nabbed three workers from there.

Waseem Taj, brother of already arrested PML-N city vice president Sheikh Kabir Taj, was detained by the police from Nawab Havaili in Walled City.

The police raided the house of UC-59 nazim Hamid Serwer but could not find him.

According to the PML-N release, the Iqbal Town police registered cases under 16-MPO against participants of a motorcycle rally after detaining eight people, including Talib Raza, Muhammad Hassan, Shahzad Rajput, Mudassir Mehmood, Waqas, Asad Rai, Nadeem Ahmed and Ali Raza.—Staff Reporter
