PESHAWAR, Sept 6: The acting vice-chancellor of the University of Peshawar, Prof (Dr) Mohammad Javed Khan, has given additional charge of the office of the registrar to director admissions of the university.

A press release issued here on Thursday said Prof (Dr) Shakeel, who was appointed by former vice-chancellor as registrar a few days ago, was relieved from the post.

He has been directed to report back to the Islamia College Peshawar.

Another notification issued by NWFP Governor Ali Mohammad Jan Aurakzai said the dean of the Faculty of Numerical Physical Sciences of the University of Peshawar, Prof (Dr) Mohammad Iqbal, was made acting vice-chancellor of the Malakand University Chakdarra.

Prof (Dr) Iqbal has served as chairman of the statistics department and as controller examination.
