Maid makes fortune in Defence

LAHORE, Sept 5: A maid along with accomplices allegedly stole cash, jewellery and other valuables worth Rs1 million from a house in Defence on Wednesday.

Saeed Imran Gilani told police that thieves broke into his house in R-Block and made off with cash, jewellery, cell phones and other valuables.

The police registered a case against Saeed’s maid Sumera on his complaint.

Three armed men came to the family of Adeel Anjum at their doorstep in Factory Area and deprived them of cash and jewellery worth Rs300,000.

Two robbers barged into the house of Ismail in Sanatnagar, Islampura and took away cash and ornaments worth Rs30,000.

Two robbers burst into a house in H-Block in Baghbanpura and escaped after looting Rs65,000, jewellery and four cell phones.

Two armed men stormed into a house in H-Block of Sabzazar and took away Rs6,000, five tola gold ornaments and two cell phones.

STREET CRIME: Two armed men deprived Dr Mubashir Hassan of Rs50,000 and a cell phone in Raza Block, Gulshan Iqbal while as many robbers took away Rs12,000 and a cell phone from Mirza Khurram Shahzad in Qilla Gujjar Singh.

Three motorists stopped a couple riding a car near Allah Hu Chowk in Johar Town and snatched Rs2,000, 15-tola jewellery and two cell phones.

LIFTED: Three cars were lifted from Islampura, Hanjarwal and Muslim Town and four motorcycles from Mughalpura, New Anarkali, Iqbal Town and Model Town.
