WB officials meet Hesco chief

HYDERABAD, Sept 5: A 16-member delegation of World Bank called on the chief executive officer of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco), K.B. Qureshi, on Wednesday to discuss a financial assistance for bringing improvements in the power company’s distribution system.

The power firm’s CEO apprised the delegation that the recovery campaign had improved while various projects were in progress to improve the overall performance of the company.He said that Hesco, under the programme of STG and ELR would launch a project for upgrading the 57 feeders of 13 sub- divisions and four divisions, which would not only overcome the menace of power theft but also boost the economic condition of the company.—APP
