LANDI KOTAL, Sept 4: Two kidnapped officials of the City Development and Municipal Department were released on Tuesday by their captors 12 hours after their abduction.

CDMD director Ikramullah Khan, deputy director Zahid Khan and other two along with their driver were kidnapped from the site of the Regi Lalma Model Town on Monday.

The Khyber agency political authorities dispatched a number of teams of Khasadar force to several places and conducted raids to get the kidnapped officials freed.

Sources said that the kidnappers left the officials in Sra Shaga area of Zakhakhel Bazaar after one of their accomplices was killed and another arrested during an encounter with the Khasadar force in Jamrud.
