Nawaz’s family to land later

LAHORE, Sept 4: While 18 members of the Sharif family were banished from the country seven years ago, they will not be coming back together.

The family of former prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan a few days after he lands at the Islamabad airport with his brother Shahbaz Sharif on Sept 10.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) sources say that Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, Hasan Nawaz and Husain Nawaz will arrive in Pakistan a few days after the arrival of the PML-N chief.

They said all arrangements had been completed for the return of the Sharif brothers. “We are now waiting for boarding cards.”

Mr Sharif’s son-in-law, Capt Safdar, and his family, and will also come back to Pakistan at an appropriate time. Currently, they are staying in London.

The family of Shahbaz Sharif is in Pakistan.

The third brother of Mian Nawaz Sharif, Abbas Sharif, is living in Saudi Arabia. He will come to Pakistan at the time of his own choice. —Political Correspondent
