NAIROBI, Sept 2: Uganda stunned hosts Kenya to claim a thrilling two-wicket win in the third match of the Twenty20 Quadrangular tournament here on Sunday.

Chasing 133 to win, Uganda got off to a poor start when Roger Mukasa was bowled by Thomas Odoyo off the second ball of the innings. But wicket-keeper Lawrence Sematimba’s counterattacking 42 laid the platform for their victory.

Earlier, Kenya, riding on a 58-run stand for the fourth wicket between Tikolo and Odoyo, scored 132, after being put in by Olwenyi.

Summarised scores:

KENYA 132-6 in 20 overs (S.O. Tikolo 66, T.M. Odoyo 27; C. Waiswa 2-18, K. Kamyuka 2-31); UGANDA 133-8 in 19.5 overs (L. Sematimba 42, N. Patel 32, J. Olwenyi 24; S.O. Tikolo 3-8, T.M. Odoyo 2-22).
