KARACHI, Sept 2: Karachi South bagged four gold, a silver and two bronze medals to clinch the Sindh inter-district cadet boxing championship title at the Abdullah Baloch Stadium on Sunday.

Mirpurkhas finished as runners-up with two gold, a silver and two bronze, while Karachi West settled for third position with a gold, three silver and a bronze.

Shahryar Kachchi of Karachi South defeated Abdul Wahab of Mirpurkhas 3-0 in the 46kg category, while in the 48kg, Karachi South’s Nazakat Ali thrashed Tanveer of Karachi West 3-0.

Jansher of Karachi South won the 50kg title after he defeated Jamal of Karachi West 3-0 and Karachi South’s Mohammad Hassan was the 2-1 winner against Afsar Hayat of Karachi Central in the 52kg category.

46kg: Shahryar Kachchi (Karachi South) bt Abdul Wahab (Mirpurkhas) 3-0. Mohsin Ali (Sanghar) and Amir Ali (Umerkot) (bronze).

48kg: Nazakat Ali (Karachi South) bt Tanveer (Karachi West) 3-0. Farhan Hussain (Mirpurkhas).

50kg: Jansher (Karachi South ) bt Jamal (Karachi West) 3-0. Ayaz (Karachi Central) (bronze).

52kg: Mohammad Hassan (Karachi South) bt Afsar Hayat (Karachi Central) 2-1. Irfan Ali (Karachi West) and Eshan Ali (Mirpurkhas).

54kg: Mohammad Munawwar (Mirpurkhas) bt Hassan Awais (Karachi West) 3-0. Amir Khan (Karachi South) (bronze).

57kg: Nawaz (Karachi West) bt Hasnain (Karachi South) 3-0.

60kg: Imran (Mirpurkhas) bt Mohammad Nawaz (Sanghar) 3-0. Adil (Karachi South) (bronze). —Sports Reporter
