GUJRANWALA, March 14: A delegation of journalists on Thursday visited the Bajwat sector, Sialkot working boundary, and met the army jawans.
They also visited the school which was hit by Indian army a few days ago. Brig Faizul Karim Burki and Lt-Col Sajjad told newsmen that curricular activities had been resumed in the school after necessary reparations.
A union council Nazim and school headmaster expressed their satisfaction over defence arrangements at the working boundary, claiming people were busy in their routine business.
The visitors met hawaldar Usman who declined leaving frontline despite sustaining injuries in Indian shelling. They also inquired after the health of the injured children.
THREE KILLED: Two women among three were killed while 12 other persons were injured in separate road accidents in and around the city on Thursday.
Hasina of Sodara Town was crossing the road when a Sialkot-bound bus crushed her. She died on the spot.
Parveen Bibi was knocked down by a car near the new vegetable market in Khiali Shahpur. She was a resident of Ghumanwala village.
Muhammad Din of Rasulnagar was killed and 12 others injured when a bus rammed into a roadside tree on Alipur Chattha Road. The injured were taken to hospital.
FALLS TO DEATH: A boy was killed when he fell from the roof of his house in Shaheenabad locality here on Thursday.
Awais, 6, was flying a kite when he slipped and fell down on the ground. He sustained head injuries and died on the way to hospital.
