SHEIKHUPURA, Sept 1: Four dacoits killed a couple on offering resistance on Saturday at Dera Rohiwala village, some 12km away from here.
Reports said the robbers barged into Asghar’s house at Dera Rohiwala and made off with cash and valuables at gunpoint.
Later, they stormed into a nearby house of Latif Rajput and held the inmates hostage. Latif and his wife Khurshid Bibi put up resistance on which the outlaws opened fire, killing them on the spot. After the incident, scores of people held a demonstration against the deteriorating law and order situation. — Correspondent
