KARACHI, Sept 1: The Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) on Friday accused the intelligence agencies of abducting a Bugti youth from Karachi.

According to a party spokesperson, Elahi Bakhsh Bugti, son of Behar Bugti, has been missing since Aug 24 and the family of the youth suspects involvement of government agencies behind his alleged disappearance.

Quoting family sources, he said that Mr Bugti had informed them that intelligence agencies were after him. Mr Bugti had already expressed fear that he might get picked up by government agencies, the JWP spokesman added.

Earlier, on the night between May 13 and 14 security forces had raided his residence and picked up all his family members. Later 15 of them were released while four members were still in their custody, the spokesman said.

The JWP spokesman urged the human rights’ bodies to take notice of the violation of human rights in Balochistan and in Baloch-dominated localities of Karachi.
