KARACHI: 50,000 clear job tests

KARACHI, Aug 30: As many as 50,000 candidates have been declared successful in the recruitment tests for the posts of primary teachers in the province.

This was announced by the Sindh education department here on Thursday.

The provincial education secretary, Sabhago Khan Jatoi, told Dawn that out of over 126,000 candidates who had applied for around 9,200 vacancies for primary teachers, some 110,000 appeared in the tests conducted a month ago.

He said that the pass percentage in the tests remained around 45 per cent.
