NAWABSHAH, March 13: Members of the Nawabshah Awami Ittehad have strongly condemned what they call the undemocratic attitude of the ruling Awam Dost Panel on the issue of transfer of Dehs to neighbouring district.
Talking to newsmen at a press conference here on Wednesday, Syed Munir Shah, Nazim UC Pir Zikri, Khalid Hussain Arain, UC-3 Nawabshah said that they had learnt that 2 Dehs of UC Shahpur Jehanian of taluka Doulatpur, Deh Shahpur Jehanian and Deh Bait Saffan, were being transferred to taluka Moro of district Naushahro Feroze.
They said that they raised the issue in the session of district council and nearly all members of the council agreed to pass a resolution against the transfer of these Dehs, but members of the Awam Dost Panel were asked to leave the house to break the quorum.
They alleged that the Awam Dost Panel did so to get its political interests.
They said that Deh Shahpur Jehanian covered Al-Noor Sugar Mills which earned millions of rupees for Nawabshah district.
They warned that they would protest against the transfer of the Dehs on 14’s March meeting of Zila Nazims of both the districts with the member Board of Revenue.
PML: Acting president PML (N) Sindh Mamnoon Hussain has said that General Musharraf will be out of the political scenario before the elections.
Talking to newsmen he said that Nawaz Sharif would return to Pakistan before October 2002 and lead the party in the elections.
He said that some senior members of the PML (N) left the party due to some pressure or to save themselves as they were looters.
He further said that Sindh should get water according to the accord of 1991.
He said that the Millat Party was not strong and the PML would not make any alliance with it.
