Matloob grabs Gymkhana league title

LAHORE, Aug 27: Matloob Ahmed with a two-day aggregate of 135 won the Gymkhana Golf League (Professional event) for the month of August on Monday.

Matloob, a leading golfer of Pakistan earned a card of four-under 68 on the first day and of five-under-par-67 on the second and final day to aggregate nine-under-par.

Aashir Hanif, who played substantially well with rounds 69 on each two day remained runners-up. Mohammad Akram and Sunny John were bracketed at score of 142, each.

In the amateur section, Shahid Khan won the one-day event with the score of 71, followed by Shakeel Ahmed (74) and Imran Ahmed (78).
