NAIROBI, Aug 24: Kenya cricket captain Steve Tikolo said on Friday he was hopeful of returning to full fitness ahead of next month’s inaugural Twenty20 World championship in South Africa.

The veteran player, who is recovering from a calf strain, sat out the recent triangular one-day home series against India and Sri Lanka A but returned to training on Friday to prepare for the forthcoming Twenty20 warm-up matches in Nairobi.

The matches, which will be played at the Nairobi Gymkhana club from Sept 1 to 4, will also involve the national teams of Bangladesh, Pakistan and Uganda.—AFP
