KARAK, Aug 24: The NWFP government has released an amount of Rs84.142 million to the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited for supply of gas to two tehsils of the Karak district.

According to an official communication issued from the NWFP finance department, the amount has been credited against the SNGPL account some 15 days ago.

The released amount has been paid from the provincial regular funds.

Officials said the provincial government would receive Rs42.071 million royalty of gas as first instalment from the federal government.

They said that amount would be spent on the supply of gas to various parts of the district.
