Citizens at robbers’ mercy

LAHORE, Aug 23: Four armed robbers looted a house in Gulshan Ravi here on Thursday.

Reports said gunmen barged into Usman’s house in Muqqadas Park, held the inmates hostage and escaped after gathering cash, jewellery and other valuables worth Rs650,000.

Two bandits looted a cell phone shop-cum-public call office in Hunjarwal on Thursday.

Armed men entered the shop of Abbas, held him up and fled after collecting Rs25,000 in cash, two cell phones and calling cards.

Two gun-totting men stormed into the Madina Traders in Shaukat Town in Factory Area and escaped after plundering Rs20,000 in cash, two cell phones and a wristwatch.
