NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Aug 22: Twelve persons including six police officials were booked on Wednesday on the order of the Additional Sessions Judge, Kandiaro, Iqbal Ahmed Khwaja.

The ADJ issued the orders on an application moved by Afshan Kalhoro in which she had alleged that the ASI, along with other unidentified five police officials and private persons entered their house in Jumo Kalhoro village on August 12, thrashed the women and children, looted cash and valuables and took away her maternal uncle, Ghulam Sarwar.

She further alleged that due to beating, Shazia, wife of Wazir, suffered miscarriage.

She also submitted police service card of Mohammad Hassan Dahri and NIC and other documents of the other police officials, which slipped out of their pockets during the melee.

The SHO Pipri lodged the FIR against the accused, including

ASI Allah Wadhayo Mahessar of Pipri police, constables Budhal Khushik, Bakhshal Leghari, Mithal Samtio and others and private persons Niaz Kalhoro, Ali Gohar, Gullan, Satabo, Ali Asghar Kamboh.

BLACK DAY: Teachers hoisted black flags on schools and wore black armbands on Wednesday on call by Primary Teachers Association Sindh.

The day was observed to mark August 12, 2006, when teachers were baton charged and injured while protesting outside chief minister h1ouse in Karachi.
