MANSEHRA, Aug 22: Police on Tuesday night arrested a man on charges of writing sacrilegious remarks against the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The SHO of a police station in Mansehra told Dawn that Waqar Hussein Shah, a resident of Mohallah Jabry, would be produced before the court on Thursday.

Abdul Sattar, the SHO, said that on Tuesday night, over 100 residents of Mohallah Jabry brought Waqar along with the book, Saheeh Bokhari, to the police station, alleging that he had written sacrilegious remarks on it.—Correspondent
