Hasan to lead Karachi Urban

KARACHI, Aug 17: The four-day first class match between national cricket champions Pakistan and India for the Muhammad Nisar Trophy will be played at the National Stadium here from September 8 to 11.

Quaid-i-Azam Trophy-winner, Karachi Urban, will take on Ranji Trophy-winner Mumbai for the newly launched event which has been named after the great fast bowler of the pre-Independence era.

KCCA announced on Friday that the Pakistan discard Hasan Raza has been named to lead the Karachi Urban team in the match against Mumbai.

The cricketers who have played for the Karachi Urban team in the last season, have been advised to convey their availability for the match by 5.00pm on Aug 20 at KCCA Office, National Stadium:

Hasan Raza (captain), Faisal Iqbal, Asim Kamal, Agha Sabir, Khurram Manzoor, Asif Zakir, Saeed Bin Nasir, Afsar Nawaz, Mohtisham Ali, Imran Javed, Aminur Rehman (wk), Malik Aftab, Tanveer Ahmed, Tahir Khan, Azam Hussain and Noman Alvi.—APP
