NAWABSHAH, Aug 17: Scores of students of class six and seven in the Government High School, Sath Meel, blocked the Nawabshah-Sath Meel road by staging a demonstration on it on Friday.

They were protesting against the lack of interest among their teachers to take classes and lack of facilities at the school.

The protesters said that the teachers were not interested in educational activities, often forced their students to entertain them by singing songs and beat them on refusal.

They said that there was no proper sitting arrangement in the school and most of benches in classrooms were broken, forcing the students to sit on the floor.—Correspondent
