Telecom moot

KARACHI, Aug 17: The International Telecom Conference 2007 on the subject “Growth Prospects in Telecom Industry of Pakistan” was held Karachi Expo Centre simultaneously with the ITCN Asia Exhibition in which Paktel’s manager new product development Usman Ali Akbar and manager regulatory, Ahmed Faisal, presented informative papers on mobile number portability in Pakistan.

Mr Faisal said Pakistan’s cellular market has been facing quality issues for some time and MNP would help resolve this by catalysing improvement in the quality of service which would benefit the customers primarily. Prominent speakers highlighted the key issues and opportunities that are there to avail.

The ITCN 2007 conference also incorporated focussed session on Telecommunications, says a press release.
