Two killed by robbers

SHIKARPUR, Aug 15: Wagon driver and a passenger have been killed while five others, including a woman injured in firing by outlaws near Lakhi Railway Crossing No.1, on Lakhi-Larkana Road, on Wednesday.

Some highwaymen signalled a Sukkur-bound passenger wagon to stop and opened fire when the driver tried to sped-off.

Firing resulted in instant death of wagon driver Ayaz Bhutto and a passenger Haji Rustam Shar of Obauro, while five passengers Nihal Ahmed Shar, Ali Gul Shar, Haji Rasool Bux Metilo, Zafar Ali Brohi and Ms Rabul alias Pari Kharil were seriously injured.

Injured were sent to Lakhi Taluka Hospital. No FIR was registered till the filing of the report.

Two kidnapped: A truck driver, Shafiq Khoso, and a cleaner, Abdul Wahab, were kidnapped by robbers at the National Highway in the jurisdiction of Barapur Police Station, Kashmore district, in the wee hours of Wednesday, reports our Jacobabad correspondent. No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.
