CM to launch Rescue 1122 on 25th

RAWALPINDI, Aug 15: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi will formally inaugurate the central station of the Rescue 1122 emergency service located on Rawal Road on August 25, a statement said on Wednesday.

Five other emergency rescue stations were also being established at strategic sites i.e. Pirwadhai Mor, Civil Lines, Bahria Town, G.T. Road, Kalma Chowk and 17 Meel.

Meanwhile, Rescue 1122 started its test run to check telecommunication and operational arrangements on Tuesday.

Inaugurating the test launch, Rescue 1122 Director-General Dr Rizwan Naseer said construction work on the main station was expected to be completed shortly.— A Reporter
