MULTAN, Aug 14: Khanewal police have arrested a man who had allegedly been having sex with his 17-year-old daughter for the last two years.

Shafiq of Chak 168/10-R allegedly had sex with his daughter for two years. The girl left her house about 25 days ago in a bid to escape her father’s alleged sexual assault and started living with her grandfather. Shafiq went to his father’s house some days back to bring her back, but she refused and told the entire story to her uncles and the grandfather.

Shafiq’s father Bashir Sindhi told union council nazim Shahzad Kamboh about the issue. Kamboh contacted girl’s mother Majeedaan, who endorsed her daughter’s allegations. On this, Kamboh informed police. The city police SHO said Shafiq had confessed to his act.

Majieedan said Shafiq used to beat her, his mother and the girl whenever they tried to stop him from incest.
