KARACHI: ANP flays city govt

KARACHI, Aug 12: Expressing concern over the devastation caused by the rains, the Awami National Party Sindh chapter held the city government responsible for the sufferings of people.

The party, which met on Sunday with its president Shahi Syed in the chair, discussed the prevailing situation in the province with specific reference to Karachi and regretted the prolonged power outages, devastation of roads and traffic jams.

The party also decided to join the rally on Aug 17 to be taken out under the banners of Sindh Bachao Committee against anti-people policy of the government including demolition of Goths and katchi abadis.
