TT trials begin

LAHORE, Aug 11: Trials to select men and women teams for participation in the 18th Asian table tennis championship started at Wapda Sports Complex on Saturday. The Asian championship is scheduled to be held in Yang Zhou, China from Sept 17 to 23.

Trials will continue till Aug 13. Seventeen men and eight women are taking part in the trials.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Table Tennis Federation will also hold a tournament at the same venue on Aug 15 and 16 in connection with the celebration of Pakistan Independence Day.

The events will be held in men and women's singles and doubles.
