QUETTA, Aug 11: The Balochistan cabinet on Saturday rejected a proposal to extend privileges to deputy speaker of the provincial assembly after the dissolution of the assembly.According to official sources, the Balochistan Assembly secretariat sent a summery to secretary of the Services and General Administration (S&GAD) suggesting some privileges and facilities for the speaker and the deputy speaker after the dissolution of the assembly.

The case was sent to the provincial cabinet that approved the proposed incentives and privileges only for the speaker and rejected the same for the deputy speaker.

A bill was moved in the provincial assembly on Saturday that was passed without any opposition. Deputy speaker Aslam Bhootani presided over the session.

After the passage of bill, Mr Bhootani said the government had expressed its anger denying the privileges to him because he had not allowed fateha for late Raziq Bugti, media advisor to the chief minister.

He said that he did not bother about such things and would run the assembly according to the rules and regulations.
