KARACHI, Aug 10: Intermittent rains which have lashed the city for the last two days, compelled the organisers of the junior ranking table tennis tournament to post-pone the event for another two days.

“We’ve planned to conduct the matches from 10.00am onwards on Sunday, weather permitting,” an official said on Friday.

Around 100 boys and girls have entered in the event which was formally inaugurated at the Rangers Sports Complex on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the boys draw consists of 64 and the girls of 32 players. Prominent among them are Mohammad Usman, runners up of the national U-15 championship, junior internationals Salman Shahid, Maleeha Khursheed and Ayesha Khan.
