CHINIOT, Aug 10: A woman and her son were killed and their driver was critically injured when a train hit their car at an unmanned railway crossing here on Friday. Nisar Ahmad, his mother Saira and their driver, Nasir, were travelling by a car which was hit by Super Express at a railway crossing on Jhurkan Road.
Saira and Nisar died at the scene and Nasir was injured seriously. He was taken to a nearby hospital.
Thousands of vehicles cross the Salara-Jhurkan Road railway crossing everyday that has been without gates for the past several years.
