Published August 10, 2007

GUJRANWALA, Aug 9: The Punjab Boards Chairman Committee (PBCC) has decided that annual examinations of classes 9 and 10 will be held separately from 2008. Gujranwala Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education chairman Masoodul Haq said this at a briefing on Thursday. He said students of class 9 this year would take their annual examination in 2008.

The students of class 10 this year will take their composite annual examination in 2008 as usual. He said the decision would help the education boards evaluate the students effectively. The Sindh government has also rejected composite examinations and held the examinations of matriculation classes separately. — Correspondent
