KARACHI, Aug 8: Around a dozen high-rise and other residential complexes in Gulshan-i-Iqbal’s blocks 13-A and 13-B have not been receiving water for 12 days. Residents of Erum Palace (Phase-I), Sheraton Apartments, Gulshan Plaza, Najma Square, Khursheed Homes, Daulat Square, Fahad Arcade and scores of the adjoining localities affected by the water crisis have complained that the KWSB officials concerned were paying no heed to their repeated requests for the resumption of water supply to the two blocks.

They suspected that the artificial crisis was being created to force the local population to buy water from private tanker operators at exorbitant rates.
