KARACHI, Aug 7: In a meeting with Iranian Consul-General Masood Ahmed Zamani, Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister for Home Affairs, Wasim Akhtar, said on Tuesday that the government was taking special measures for the security of foreigners and diplomats in the province on a priority basis.
The Iranian CG had called on Mr Akhtar at his office.
They discussed in detail matters of mutual interest, conditions prevailing in Sindh in general and the law and order situation in Karachi in particular.
The adviser said huge funds have been earmarked for the procurement of modern equipment, vehicles and other facilities for the Sindh police.
Masood Ahmed Zamani apprised him about the problems faced by Iranian nationals who were living in the city.—PPI
