LAHORE, Aug 5: Punjab Mines and Minerals Minister Muhammad Sibtain Khan has said that annual salt production in the province has increased to 1.6 million tonnes. In a statement issued here on Sunday, Khan said that salt production increased after the government issued 50 licences and 20 long-term and 30 experimental leases for salt exploration.
