KARACHI, Aug 5: Bandits went on a looting spree in Gulistan-i-Jauhar this weekend as at least four house robberies were reported since late Saturday evening. Five armed men scaled the house of Talib Syed in Block-14. They held the family hostage at gunpoint and took away foreign currency and gold ornaments.

In Bakhtawar Goth, armed men barged into a house. At gunpoint, they collected Rs12,000 cash and some jewellery from the family before fleeing.

In Azam Town, five armed suspects barged into the house of Javed. At gunpoint, they looted cash and cellphones and escaped.

Some armed suspects entered the house of Amir Ahmed near Shaheed Public School and took away cash, jewelry and some electronic items.
