Sindh Open Golf from 17th

KARACHI, Aug 4: Sindh Open Golf Championship, carrying rupees half a million in prizemoney, will be held at the Arabian Sea Country Club Golf Course from Aug 17-19, Secretary Golf Association (SGA) announced on Saturday.

“Country's top professionals will be in action in the championship,” Secretary SGA Asad I.A.Khan said. It is the standard Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) tournament played over 54 holes.

Top pros like Shabbir Iqbal, Matloob Ahmed, Muhammad Munir, Muhammad Siddique, Shahid Javed, Imdad Hussain and Karachi golfers Amjad Yousuf, Muhammad Tariq, Ansar Mahmood, Muhammad Tariq, Muhammad Akram and Waheed Baloch will be competing in the event.

Prior to the Sindh Open, Chief of Naval Staff Golf Championship will be staged at the Karachi Golf Club from Aug 9 to 12.

The premier golfing event will be played over 72 holes. CNS Golf will offer a bumper cash purse of Rs 1.2 million.—APP
