Power restored after 30 hours

SAHIWAL, Aug 2: Electricity supply in and around the city was restored here on Thursday after 30-hour suspension. Reports said the power supply disrupted when a 132KV grid station on Faisalabad Road had caught fire on Tuesday evening due to some technical fault. The disruption had caused a great deal of inconvenience to citizens.

PPP: Pakistan People’s Party chairperson Benazir Bhutto has announced tickets for three national assembly seats in the district.

MPA Mushtaq Gujar will contest election from NA-131, Ghayur Bukhari (NA-132) and Malik Mushtaq Awan (NA-133).

Ticket holders in a press briefing expressed the hope that the party would get majority seats in elections. — Correspondent
