MANSEHRA, Aug 2: The district administration has expelled over 200 families of earthquake survivors from the Jabba tent village, Dawn has learnt. Chairman of the Custodian Committee for the Rights of Jabba tent village Abdul Rehman told Dawn on Wednesday that District Coordination Officer (DCO) Munir Azam, along with camp in-charge and other officials, reached the tent village on Tuesday and directed all displaced families to vacate the village immediately.
He said the DCO threatened the earthquake survivors with disconnection of water and electricity supply to the tent village if they did not vacate it.
He said that on request only 100 families were allowed to stay in the tent-village.
