PESHAWAR, March 10: The NWFP Auqaf Department has announced the schedule of All Pakistan Hifz-i-Hadiths Competition.

It is first of its kind of annual competition in the country which is aimed at motivating the people, specially the students, to understand and remember Hadiths, the teachings of the Holy Prophet (pbuh).

The department has published a textbook — Hadiqatus Saliheen — of 1,000 authenticated Hadiths selected by a panel of Ulema.

The book is available at the office of the Auqaf Administrator, Peshawar, and all its regional offices at Abbottabad, D.I.Khan and Mardan. Besides, it is being provided to all provincial Auqaf departments of the country.

There is no restriction of age or gender for participation in the competition while the winners and runners-up would be given handsome cash prizes in three categories of 1,000; 600 and 300 Hadiths competitions, ranging from Rs30 to Rs5,000. The competitions will be held after three months, on 12th Rabiul Awal 1423AH on the occasion of Jashn-i-Miladun Nabi.
