KARACHI, Aug 2: Nine ships carrying steel scrap, containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Kuo Cheng, Y.M.Sun, Hyundai Futures to unload and load containers, Asian Queen to load cement, Andrea-D, to offload coal and Lalazar to offload crude oil.

Four ships, Sun Flower, Mumer Yagci, Lucky Arrow and APL Brisbane departed on Thursday, while Cruiser, Xiang Cheng, Split, Y.M.Sun, Lalazar and Golina are due to sail out on Friday.

A total ton of 85,477 tons comprising 21,805 tons of export tonnage and 63,672 tons of import cargo was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Olympic Sponsor, with Crude oil, Chem Rose, to load ethanol, Scotland, Oel Spirit, and Eric G. Gibson, with containers, Pacific Champion, and S.Kala, with coal, Tourioti, with steel scarp and Maria, with general cargo.
