Coaching courses

LAHORE, Aug 1: Various Olympians will attend the IOC Olympic Solidarity hockey technical course for coaches to be held here in two phases from Aug 6 to 14. The course will be held during the Talent Grooming Hockey Tournament to be played during the same period. The first phase will be held from Aug 6 to 10 and the second from Aug 11 to 14.

The chief selector, former Olympian Khawaja Zakauddin, has been appointed course director by the International Hockey Federation while the FIH coach Khawaja Muhammad Awais will be the course conductor.

First phase (Aug 6-10): Hanif Khan, Naveed Alam, Shafqat Malik, Mansoor-ul-Haq, Khalid Bashir, Zahid Iqbal, Shahbaz Junior, Motiullah Khan, Aamir Jalil, A. Rashid, Amjad Pervaiz, Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Usman, Irshad Haider, Shahzad Chishti, Nasir Hussain, Chand Parveen, Alina Afroz, Zaib-un-Nisa, Beenish Hayat, Humaira Mughal, Muslehuddin and Mohammad Mubeen.

Second phase (Aug 11-14): Asif Bajwa, Qamar Ibrahim, Shahid Nizami, Tahir Zaman, Rashid-ul-Hassan, Saleem Nazim, Nasir Ali, Waseem Feroze, Safdar Abbas, Farhat Hussain Khan, Mahmood Aslam Dar, Jan Muhammad, Jalil Ahmed, Tauqeer Dar, Nasim Mirza and Qamar Zia.
