SHEIKHUPURA, July 31: Hundreds of Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib villages went on darkness when the Bhikhi grid station caught fire on Tuesday night. The fire damaged transformers and other installations worth millions of rupees. Lesco sub-engineer (Sheikhupura circle) Bahadar Ali Khan told Dawn the cause of sudden fire was yet to be ascertained.

He said the Lesco staff was busy in the restoration of power supply and hoped that the supply would be restored by Wednesday evening. — Correspondent
