GUJRANWALA, July 31: The local anti-terrorism court No 2 on Tuesday took note of police failure in producing Sibtul Hassan Shah alias Double Shah in the court and ordered jail authorities to produce him on Wednesday (today).

When the court started hearing of the Double Shah case in the morning, the court was informed that the accused, being investigated by NAB for launching a parallel banking system in Gujranwala, Sialkot and Gujrat, was currently jailed in Lahore.

Judge Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad ordered the Lahore jail superintendent to produce Shah before the court on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the court also sought permission from the home department for shifting Saudur Rehman involved in four cases of sectarian nature from Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, to the district jail here for hearing his case

Arrested from Murree, the accused was involved in sectarian cases he had committed in the districts of Murree, Hassan Abdal and Gujranwala.

RELEASED: As many 87 prisoners involved in minor cases were released by district and sessions judge Mazhar Hussain Minhas during his district jail visit here on Tuesday.
