QUETTA, March 9: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Balochistan has seized 160kg of heroin from Posti Girdi Jungle area of Chaghai district on Saturday, some 70 km North of Dalbandin, official sources said.

“The consignment was brought from Afghanistan for its shipment onwards to international market using Pakistan as transit,” a senior official of the ANF Dalbandin disclosed. He said the heroin was dumped in the hideout of the drug smugglers.

The ANF troops moved into the Posti Girdi Jungle area on a tip off about the movement of the traffickers and raided the storage site and recovered the drug packets. The armed men guarding the consignment managed to escape.

No arrest could be made in this connection.
