Robbers kill two brothers

MULTAN, July 29: Seven dacoits shot dead two brothers and injured three other family members on offering resistance here on Saturday night in Amjad Town, Mumtazabad.

Reports said the robbers entered the house of Dildar Husain, Javed Husain and Gulzar Husain by scaling the wall and held Gulzar, 50, and his wife hostage.

On offering resistance, the accused opened fire killing Gulzar on the spot. His brother Javed, 45, was rushed to Nishtar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Dildar, 33, and two sons of Gulzar - Jahanzeb, 20, and Ghulam Mustafa, 18, received bullet injuries and were shifted to the Nishter.

A dacoit was also injured by the firing of his accomplices. However, all managed their escape.

DPO Muhammad Nawaz Warraich has claimed that police have found a clue to the incident and will arrest the bandits soon.
