Usmani to quit PSAF post

KARACHI, July 28: Cdr. (retd) Navaid Usmani will relinquish the charge of secretary general, the Pakistan Sailing Federation (PSAF), on Aug 1. However, he will continue to hold the post of secretary, National Sailing Centre (NSC).

A decision to this effect was taken by Commander Karachi, Admiral Bakhtiar Mohsin, who also heads the PSAF. The PSAF chief has nominated Capt R.J. Afzal, as the successor.

Usmani who took dual charge of PSAF and NSC secretary-ship on June 1 last year managed Pakistan team at the Doha Asian Games. He has also served as treasurer of the federation in the past.
