NAWABSHAH, July 27: A demonstration was held inside the medical unit-II NMC Hospital against doctors’ negligence resulting in the death of a patient, Ms Jannat, 30, here on Friday.

Protesters raised slogans against the doctors and smashed widows of entrance of the ward.

Protesters, including relatives, told reporters that they admitted Ms Jannat in the ward 12 days ago as she suffered a stroke.

They alleged that the doctors did not pay proper attention to the patient despite repeated requests.

They further said that the condition of the patient became serious late on Thursday night but the doctor on duty refused to check her after which she died.

They demanded action against the duty doctor.
