MITHI, July 25: A widow of Meghwar community, resident of Dadio Halepoto taluka, Chhachhro village, has urged the DPO and district administration Tharparkar to provide her protection from the excesses of an influential wadera and his son of his area.

Narrating her ordeal to reporters at Chhachhro, the other day, Satu Bai alleged that the influential wadera (U) and his son (Kh) have been disturbing her since a year and have forcibly and fraudulently occupied her 20 acres of agricultural land by getting her Khata (account) changed through unlawful means.

“The wadera and his son have also killed my husband, Somji, two years ago, by administering him a wrong injection,” Satu alleged.

She said that a month ago the wadera barged into her house with ill intentions, but, she and other women in the house caught him and tied him with rope, however, the villagers got him released, after he promised that he would not bother her again.

But afterwards, they continued to harass her, she said.
