NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, July 24: A group of citizens, including a large number of lawyers, took out a rally on Tuesday which protested demolition of old library building. Led by comrade Ghulam Rasool Sehto (Sindh United Party), Badal Dahraj (SNP), Khairpur, Mohammad Kolachi (JSQM), they took out the rally from press club which, after marching on market road and bazaars, reached the union council office where the protesters staged a sit-in.

They complained that taluka nazim has started dismantling of old library and was constructing shops on the library land. They said it was an old library and students and citizens were getting benefit of this facility.

They demanded of the district nazim and Sindh chief minister to intervene and stop demolition of library the structure.

When contacted, the taluka nazim Syed Amir Ali Shah said that library room will remain intact, however, he has got started construction of eight shops on the courtyard of the library.
