HYDERABAD, July 24: The Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate-II Mirpurkhas on Tuesday submitted his visit report before Mr Justice Rehmat Hussain Jaffery of the Sindh High Court Hyderabad circuit bench, mentioning that five teen aged boys were not found in the police station of Phuladiyoon during his visit.

The judge mentioned that he checked rooms of investigation and operation wings on ground floor and upper storey but could not find the detainees.

Such a report was submitted before the court by the court's deputy registrar Iqbal Ahmed Khan.

He put a note along with the report before the judge that newspapers carried photos of five children, who were brought to the civil hospital for medical examination by the Sindhri police and reports suggested that boys had been tortured in a five maunds wheat theft case.

Mr.Justice Jaffery had directed the sessions judge of Mirpurkhas to get the facts verified regarding illegal detention of the boys by Phuladiyoon police station after the issue was raised before him by Mr Allah Bachayo Soomro, General Secretary of the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) Hyderabad on Monday.

The matter was lying in the chamber of the judge and it could not be confirmed whether he has passed any order as to the production of children.

On the other hand the Civil Surgeon of Mirpurkhas, Dr Roshan Ali Bhatti, had sent X-ray films to Civil Hospital Hyderabad for determination of their ages.

However, these reports were not received during the working hours of the hospital on Tuesday.

Our Mirpurkhas correspondent adds: The Supervising Police Officer (SPO) of Phuladiyoon, Manthar Bhayo, has completed inquiry into the matter and will submit report to DPO Mirpurkhas on Wednesday.

DPO Mirpurkhas Abdullah Shaikh had suspended SHO Phuladiyoon police station Soomar Mangrio and had ordered inquiry into the same case.
